Programming
As educators, we believe that each student is a unique learner as they begin their journey with music. MusiCO's programming supports students holistically so they feel empowered and supported to play and explore. Students will engage in music through a meaningful learning process that incorporates their participation as leaders, which in turn allows for deeper cultural and social-emotional connections. The artistic and creative curriculum will integrate various aspects of academics growth, social-emotional learning, and civic engagement- all while embedding equity practices that support and honor the students' racial identity, cultural background, gender identity and all other forms of self-expression.
Music Lessons
Group or private music instruction that empowers the student to play and explore while learning more about themselves in a supportive way.
After School Enrichment Sessions
Students express their voices through dance, music, visual arts and theatrical activities. This builds a community that strengthens each other as individuals and as a group while developing confidence and acceptance.
Mariachi Band
Participants dive deeper into the traditional sounds and rhythms of Mariachi music which has roots in Mexican culture and traditions while students explore music and reflect on their own identities.
